A specifically formulated protective paint for ion nitriding at temperatures of 750-1085 Degrees F. Due to the excellent electric conductivity of the N-9 layer, there is no problem getting an electrical connection between the work piece to be nitrided and the cathode base plate. Normally only one coat coverage is required. Application can be attained by brushing or dipping. Residual of CONDURSAL N9 can easily be removed after heat treatment by brushing or wiping.
